NFL Week 2 - 2010
NFL (ytd: 5-5-1) -0.22u
NE +1 over Jets (2units) - play against Sanchez and his sophomore jinx. The jets are more talk and less play on the turf. Against Brady, NY will be struggling to keep up. Score: Patriots 24-Jets 14.
PHI -5 (2units) - I smell a defeat of epic proportions. Whether its Vick or Kolb, the Lions will find a way to snatch defeat from victory. Score: Eagles 33-Lions 10.
SF +6 (1unit) - the niners were embarrassed last week. People were already penciling them in as the new kings of the west. Players were reading the press clippings. So now the public is pounding the Saints. I see a similar MNF upbeat game like this past Chiefs game. The intense coach will be playing the underdog role at home on the Monday nite stage. The only black cloud will be Alex Smith, but at least he'll have a quiet crowd. I might wait til game time to pull the trigger in case the line rises. Score: Saints 28-Forty-Niners 24.
ATL -5 (1unit) - The Falcons always play better at home while the Cards are just the opposite, especially on trips to the east. Score: Falcons 28-Cardinals 18.
GB -13.5 (1unit)-the hapless Bills offense will not be able to keep up with Rogers aerial show. Score: Packers 36-Bills 14.
MIA +5.5 (2units) - while the Vikings may win SU, Favre still needs to get over his age and rustiness. Without an offense that's clicking and Sporano good road ATS record (5-1), I'll side with the Fins. Score: Vikings 24-Dolphins 21.
JAX +7 (1unit) - wish i got the 8 but i missed it- this is mainly a play againts the Bolts' perenniel slow start to a season. Score: Chargers 28-Jaguars 24.
KC +2 (0units) Any team that can keep the high-powered Fins in check, albeit with the help of special teams, must having something going for it. Versus the lowly Delomme-less Browns, I see a 2-0 start for the lowly Chief. Score: Chiefs 17-Browns 10
CAR -3.5 (0units) - the Panthers usually dominate the Buccaneers at home, so I'l ride the train till the wheels fall off. Neither team impresses me this early in the season. Score: Buccaneers 14-Panthers 18.
CIN +1.5 (0units) - this game could go either way, the Raven defense will keep the score close while the Cincy offense will be struggling all day long. I'll take the HFA as the decider in this one. Score: Ravens 17-Bengals 21.
TEN -5.5 (3 units)- The Titans QB wins games and has one of the best RBs in the leagure, playing at home vs. a QB in only his 3rd NFL start, i see Tennessee as the tough team on the block this Sunday. Score: Steelers 21-Titans 28.
DEN -3.5 (0units) - two average teams, Seattle looked better than they actually are, while Denver is better than they looked, if that makes any sense. Score: Broncos 21-Seahawks 14.
OAK -4 (0units) - two lousy teams squaring off against each other. Oakland always seems to play better at home and with the new QB this year that won't be giving the ball away (much), the hapless Rams will be skidding to another losing season. Score: Raiders 18-Rams 10
NYG +5.5 (1unit) - Peyton will always win at home, but his defense will always allow scores too, i'll take the points in this Manning Bowl II. Score: Colts 24-Giants 21.
