ADDED GAMES: - NFL Week 3 Picks

ADDED GAMES:

BAL -10.5 (2units) - Flacco looked bad vs. an inferior Bengals team last week, and vs.the hapless Browns, i looking for a break out game for flacco. Of course the Raven's D is the key (as always) Score: Ravens 21-Browns 3.

GB -3 - (3units) home dog on MNF always scares me not to mention that the public is pounding the pack (another reason to fade). Having said all that, this play is mostly against Cutler and a play for Rogers with the short number. Score: Packers 31-Bears 21.

MIA -2.5 (2units) - the fins should offer more of a challenge for Sanchez. The stat that scares me is Sparano is 0-3 ATS as a favorite coming off a SU win as an underdog (per Walt). Neither team appears to be favored over the other, but i'll take the HFA vs the sophomore QB. Score: Jets 14-Dolphins 17.

SD -4.5 (1units) - the slow starting Bolts will be facing the 12th man in Seattle. I still like them to cover in the rain. The Hawks stunk it up last week and may be feeling a bit deflated, we shall see. Score: Chargers 24-Seahawks 17

WEEK 3 - NFL 2010 PICKS

WEEK 3 - NFL 2010 PICKS
BUF +14 (1unit): as a home favorite of 10.5 to 14 points, NE is only 1-4 ATS in the last 3 instances (per Statfox). A change in Bill QB may ellitcit some spark in the Bills' offense. Or they could get blown out, i'll take the double digit road dog.

DAL +3 (2units): the point spread seems fishy, as if someone is begging you to bet Houston. It's only week 3 and it seems do or die time for the Boys, especially if they want a home SB. 0-2 teams that made the playoffs the year before are 11-7 against the spread in Week 3 since 2003. Romo should be able to light up the Texan secondary (30th vs. the pass 9 YPA). Score: Cowboys 24-Texans 21

DET +11: (2units) I have a feeling the Lions will be beating the spread all season long, at least until the oddsmakers catch up to them. For now, they're still not getting respect. I don't trust Favre, he's playing like a rusty-never-been-to-training-camp-old man; Rice is still out; Percy Harvin is banged up; and the O-line is stinking up the joint. The only bright spot is Adrian Peterson...I'll take the Lions and the points and wait till gametime to pull the trigger in case the line moves a little higher.

TB +3: (1unit) Neither offense is inspiring and the better bet may be the UNDER. I'll take the points with the home dog vs. the 3rd or the stringer QB. The Buccs seem to have more to play for than the steelers since their wins over Cleveland and Carolina aren't exactly something to be proud of. A win over Pittsburgh will be a statement game.

PIT/TB UNDER 33.5 (2units): Pittsburgh has yet to score a TD from scrimmage in regulation time. Their defense is ferocious especially with a health Palamalu. They shut down to very good RBs in Turner and Johnson. Tampa Bay’s QB Josh Freeman has played two mediocre teams in Cleveland and Carolina. The Bucs “D” has yielded just 10.5 PPG. Both teams are having trouble finding the end zone. UNDER is 4-0 their L4 meetings 4-1 in the Steelers L5 games played in September, and 9-0 in the Bucs L9 overall.

TEN/NYG OVER 42.5 (2units): both are ranked 20+ in rushing defense, so both should be going up and down the field, we'll see.

Phi -3 (1unit): It's confirmed Vick is the starting QB, and whether you agree or not, the added run/pass threat should be enough to overcome the Jags. The final margin will most likely be double digits again. Score: Eagles 33-Jaguars 17

SF -3 (2units): the better team lost last Sunday vs. last year's champion. Without the turn overs, the niners would've been rollin. If they keep them down in KC, the niners should be on track. Score: Forty-Niners 28-Chiefs 17.

NFL Week 2 - 2010

NFL (ytd: 5-5-1) -0.22u

NE +1 over Jets (2units) - play against Sanchez and his sophomore jinx. The jets are more talk and less play on the turf. Against Brady, NY will be struggling to keep up. Score: Patriots 24-Jets 14.

PHI -5 (2units) - I smell a defeat of epic proportions. Whether its Vick or Kolb, the Lions will find a way to snatch defeat from victory. Score: Eagles 33-Lions 10.

SF +6 (1unit) - the niners were embarrassed last week. People were already penciling them in as the new kings of the west. Players were reading the press clippings. So now the public is pounding the Saints. I see a similar MNF upbeat game like this past Chiefs game. The intense coach will be playing the underdog role at home on the Monday nite stage. The only black cloud will be Alex Smith, but at least he'll have a quiet crowd. I might wait til game time to pull the trigger in case the line rises. Score: Saints 28-Forty-Niners 24.

ATL -5 (1unit) - The Falcons always play better at home while the Cards are just the opposite, especially on trips to the east. Score: Falcons 28-Cardinals 18.

GB -13.5 (1unit)-the hapless Bills offense will not be able to keep up with Rogers aerial show. Score: Packers 36-Bills 14.

MIA +5.5 (2units) - while the Vikings may win SU, Favre still needs to get over his age and rustiness. Without an offense that's clicking and Sporano good road ATS record (5-1), I'll side with the Fins. Score: Vikings 24-Dolphins 21.

JAX +7 (1unit) - wish i got the 8 but i missed it- this is mainly a play againts the Bolts' perenniel slow start to a season. Score: Chargers 28-Jaguars 24.

KC +2 (0units) Any team that can keep the high-powered Fins in check, albeit with the help of special teams, must having something going for it. Versus the lowly Delomme-less Browns, I see a 2-0 start for the lowly Chief. Score: Chiefs 17-Browns 10

CAR -3.5 (0units) - the Panthers usually dominate the Buccaneers at home, so I'l ride the train till the wheels fall off. Neither team impresses me this early in the season. Score: Buccaneers 14-Panthers 18.

CIN +1.5 (0units) - this game could go either way, the Raven defense will keep the score close while the Cincy offense will be struggling all day long. I'll take the HFA as the decider in this one. Score: Ravens 17-Bengals 21.

TEN -5.5 (3 units)- The Titans QB wins games and has one of the best RBs in the leagure, playing at home vs. a QB in only his 3rd NFL start, i see Tennessee as the tough team on the block this Sunday. Score: Steelers 21-Titans 28.

DEN -3.5 (0units) - two average teams, Seattle looked better than they actually are, while Denver is better than they looked, if that makes any sense. Score: Broncos 21-Seahawks 14.

OAK -4 (0units) - two lousy teams squaring off against each other. Oakland always seems to play better at home and with the new QB this year that won't be giving the ball away (much), the hapless Rams will be skidding to another losing season. Score: Raiders 18-Rams 10

NYG +5.5 (1unit) - Peyton will always win at home, but his defense will always allow scores too, i'll take the points in this Manning Bowl II. Score: Colts 24-Giants 21.

WEEK 1 NFL 2010

NE -4.5 (3units) - Brady is healthy and both him and Bellichick are probably tired of seeing the Jets pencilled in as the next superbowl champs, i'll go with the home team, especially if 'bad' Palmer shows up. Cincy is 8-28 since 1992 vs. AFC East Division opponents. Patriots 28-Bengals 21.

CLE +3 (2units) - franchise QB with the points, even though Jake was error prone in previous years, he looked sharp in preseason, i'll take the points. Browns 21- Buccaneers 17

DET +6.5 (2units) - I'll side with Stafford over Mike Martz's offensive schemes, Cutler was sacked 9 times in 4 qtrs this preseason, and they'll be facing a D that looked good in preseason, let's see if it carries into regular season.  Are the Lions for real this year or door mats again, i'll take the points at least in game 1. Lions 24-Bears 21

PIT +2.5 (4units) - the public is pounding the Falcons (70% at this post time).  I'm betting the angle that Big Ben's team mates will be playing extra hard since no one thinks they will win without their starting QB, while the Dirty Birds will be thinking this game's in the bag...an easy win. I love this angle. Steelers 17-Falcons 14.

BUF +3.5 (2units) - the public is pounding the Fins to tune of 80+ per cent, altho they have not won in Buffalo since 2004, Sparano has never won Week 1 games (of the 2 he's been in); and can Miami take the 'lowly' Bill seriously?  hmmm, maybe a let-down game right out of the chute.  Bills 18-Dolphins 14

ARI -3.5 - (3units) people are betting like they already know the score, i'll take the team with somethng to prove....that there is life after Warner.  Cardinals 24-Rams 14

CAR +6.5 (2units) - a new stadium didn't help the Cowboys, was it more pressure to perform in the new living quarters?  I don't know, but a TD is alot to lay for teams that are more evenly matched than people think. Giants 24-Panthers 21

GB -2.5 (1unit) - i usually don't like to side with a big public favorite, but i don't see how the rebuilding Eagles can keep up with the play-off bound Pack.  Packers 38-Eagle 21

DEN +2.5 - (1unit) As long as it stays at the key number, i'm game. While past year's stats may be meaningless, since this is a new year, the Jaguars are 0-10 ATS as home favorites since 2008. Broncos 28-Jaguars 18

IND -2.5 (3units) - I won't lay any money against Peyton, especially at this low number, even if it does creep up to 3. Colts 34-Texans 21.

SF -2.5 (4units) -everybody and his mother's brother is on the niners.  Who am i to argue against destiny÷ Forty-niners 36-Seahawks 6

**GAMEDAY SWITCH** DAL -3.5 (1unit) - after thinking of the disruption on the skin's sidelines and lockroom, i'm going with the team with the better talent on both sides of the line.  Redskins 14-Cowboys 21

NYJ -2.5 (1unit) - Rex knows Flacco as his ex-coach, that and Revis in the defensive backfield spells trouble for the Ravens. Ravens 10-Jets 17.

SD -4.5 (2units) - Matt Cassel is near the bottom in league QBs, nothing has changed since last year. The Bolts rolled over the Chiefs last year, and even tho LT is no longer in San Diego, his replacement (Ryan Mathews) seems to be a major improvement.  I smell a blow out of epic proportions. Chargers 38-Chiefs 3.

PIT Duke +140 (1unit)- Braves are only 24-26 vs lefties this year and only 11-11 vs teams w/losing records in second half. (trends from statfox)

DET Bonderman +118 (.5units) - anti-swagger play, WhiteSox 2nd game after a loss coming off a winning streak.

BAL Bergesen +1.5 (1unit) - playing the heaving road favorite on the +RL angle.

CIN -6.5 (5units) - seeing how poorly Indy played in their last preseason game of the year going 1-7 ATS the last eight years, i'm betting the starters will be safely tucked away early in preparation for the regular season... that's seems to be Caldwell's strategy, i'm not saying, i'm just sayin.

JAX -3 (2units) - the Jags have won their last preseason game the last four years. The Coach plays it close to the vest in regular season relying on their defense, but Jack Del Rio opens it up in the preseason, look for the OVER to hit too.

NYJ +2 (4units) - a play on Andy Reid's Week 4 game record (2-9)
